Our promise to you
As we work together to shape the future of the Preston area this is our promise to you.
Respect & Relationships
We will treat every resident with fairness, dignity, and respect.
We will communicate with openness, honesty and transparency at all times.
We aim to meet individual communication needs, offering extra support where we can:
For example, we can: Provide information in another language or larger print; Offer quiet spaces, interpreters, or visual formats for important conversations.
Your Voice Matters
We will make it as easy as possible for you to give your views and feedback:
Surveys will be available online, through the project website and in paper form at events
Contact details will be included in all communications to make it clear how to get in touch with any questions or concerns
We will review and collate all feedback and share a summary of what we heard
We will listen to your views and use them to shape decisions
We’ll always explain how your feedback has made a difference or if it’s not possible, why.
Clear & Inclusive Communication
We will keep you informed in a clear, timely and accessible way
We will share updates on our website, in newsletters and through emails (to those that sign up for updates)
We will hold in person events to share information and provide the opportunity for you to speak to the team, ask questions and find out more
A project email address and phone number mean you can easily get in touch with any questions or concerns
We will respond to emails and calls within 3 working days.
Clear Expectations & Ongoing Journey
We will be open about what can and can’t be done - not everything will be possible, and some priorities may take longer to achieve
Your input will help guide where we focus our efforts, but choices will need to be made
This is a long-term project - improvements will take time and happen in stages
We will continue to involve you along the way, sharing progress and next steps as we move forward together.
