Shaping the future of the Preston area

Raven owns and maintains over a thousand homes in the Preston area of Tadworth. We are reviewing our homes and open spaces to help shape ideas for longer-term investment in the area.

Since September 2024, we have been speaking with Raven customers and the wider community to hear their views and understand local priorities. Through this process, we have developed emerging proposals for the area. These ideas have now been developed further into more detailed plans, taking community feedback into account as the proposals have evolved.

We’re committed to ensuring our homes are fit for the future and investing in shared spaces that help create safe, secure neighbourhoods that everyone can be proud to call home. That’s why we want to continue working closely with both Raven customers and the wider community as these ideas develop.

The work we do on homes will, of course, directly benefit Raven customers - but the improvements we can make to the wider neighbourhood will benefit everyone who lives here.

How it all began

At Raven, our purpose is clear: Building Homes, Changing Lives

We work with our communities to understand what matters and improve the places you live. Every three years, we develop a new strategy, which sets out our commitments to improving Raven homes, services and neighbourhoods.

In April 2024, we launched our 2024-2027 plan: Delivering What Matters. Shaped by the feedback of Raven’s customers, it focuses on the services and priorities that mean the most to you.

What this means for Preston

In line with our three-year plan, we are taking a closer look at the Preston area, with an eye on what improvements we could make both now and in the longer-term. This means reviewing the condition of Raven homes, outdoor spaces and how the neighbourhood works for the people who live here. We are committed to listening, learning and working with you to shape a plan for improvement that’s built on your priorities.
